Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an IT System Administrator and Technical Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing technical support to our team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety protocols and best practices within the lab by conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety guidelines.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation, taking necessary steps to resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, performing repairs and upgrades as needed.
- Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure data security and privacy. Collaborate with other staff members and the Communications and Media expert to support organizational needs and implement new technologies.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end users, addressing their IT-related concerns and inquiries. Work closely with the Social Media Communication Specialist.
- Maintain the website by adding updates, new features, and content daily.
- Ensure proper online bookings and payment functionality, generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistics of website visitors and functions.
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of hosting accounts and the creation of email accounts for new employees.
- Implement standardized email signatures across all employee emails to maintain consistency.
- Verify the usage of correct fonts in calendars, to-do lists, and status report templates for all employees.
- Monitor daily web activities, attacks, firewall operations, security measures, and backups.
- Regularly inspect all computers for malware and viruses.
- Establish an internal server with robust security measures, implement file saving and organization protocols, and maintain physical and cloud backups.
- Configure computer workstations as required, ensuring compliance with licensed software policies.
- Administer access for all social media accounts and editorial team members, updating access permissions promptly to reflect changes in employee status.
- Manage all domains effectively.
- Proactively research and implement the latest methodologies in IT to ensure the organization remains current and up-to-date in all aspects of technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or Technical Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud computing technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Windows and Linux-based systems.
- Experience managing email servers, domain administration, and social media accounts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Armenian languages.
The IT Specialist Needs To Have:
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems and Mac OS X / OS X / macO.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with network protocols, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively.

Location: Dilijan This position requires physical and daily participation in Fab Lab Armenia activities and ongoing projects. The location is at Fab Lab Armenia in Dilijan, and workdays are from Tuesday to Saturday, with weekdays from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. We can be flexible in accommodating your hours within our operating work schedule.
Marketing Intern
A Marketing Intern is a professional who assists in advertising and promotional efforts within Fab Lab Armenia Education Foundation. You are responsible for completing clerical and administrative duties, building social media campaigns, or preparing promotional materials following established brand guidelines.
Requirements:
Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for marketing, communications, or in a similar field. Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms. Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from several departments.
Attending meetings and taking minutes.
Performing research at a supervisor’s request.
Updating social media platforms and writing copy for posts.
Creating images for social media posts.
Video Editor Intern
As a video editor, you’ll manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final video. This is a key role in the post-production process, and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the finished result following established brand guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field. Previous work experience as a video editor. Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier. Creative and artistic skills are a must.
Web WordPress Intern
The WordPress Web Developer Intern will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to specifications, and following established brand guidelines.
You will strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including the implementation of themes and plugins. The goal is to create attractive and user-friendly websites according to Fab Lab Armenia Education Foundation specifications and strict brand guidelines.
